Part of the huge central barge for Harmonious has now been brought into EPCOT’s World Showcase as work continues on completing the hardware infrastructure for the new show.
The ring shaped “Stargate” barge, the largest of the show platforms, features lighting effects and a huge water screen to display projections. We understand that what is currently in the lagoon is not the completed piece, but the base of the platform.
The central barge will be joined by 4 of the fin shaped barges, of which 2 are currently in position – at Mexico and Canada. The concept are below shows the arrangement of the show platforms in the lagoon.
An opening date for the show is yet to be announced, but speculation continues to suggest that the show is being planned to be open by October 2021.
