Tropical Storm Cindy forms in the central Atlantic

Tropical Storm Cindy has formed in the central Atlantic, becoming our third named storm of the season.


What You Need To Know

  • Tropical Storm Cindy formed on Thursday, June 22
  • It will continue to move west 
  • It could bring rain to the Lesser Antilles

Cindy will continue to move west toward the Lesser Antilles over the next couple of days, and it currently has winds of 40 mph. There are no watches or warnings in effect.

Once it gets closer to the Lesser Antilles, it’s forecast to take a more northwest track past the islands before dissipating.
