This May has been pretty comfortable in Central Florida. The humidity has been low, and temperatures have stayed below 90 degrees for a good portion of the month.
However, from late May into mid-September, our average high spikes to 90 degrees.
The hottest temperature Orlando’s average high reaches is 92 degrees. This happens on June 30 and runs through August 20 before dropping back to 91 degrees.
Orlando averages around 97 days with high temperatures at or above 90 degrees.
However, you have to go back to 2008 to find the last time Orlando had fewer than 100 90-degree days.
2019 and 2020 both had more than 130 90-degree days.
The most 90-degree days ever recorded in Orlando was 152 in 1919. The fewest was 65 in 1966.
Another fun fact, the only month Orlando has not cracked 90 degrees is January.
