Live music. Delicious food. Bottomless drinks. Sounds like a fun way to spend a Sunday downtown. So make plans and pick your own socially distant, outdoor box for 2–5 people at our Merengue Brunch.
Talented Puerto Rican singer Melina León used to participate in festivals and music contests when she was a child. At the age of 15, the artist joined a group known as Las Cheris, later forming a female act named Ruby, recording an album issued by independent Musical Productions. After being discovered by a local label executive, Melina León had the opportunity to make her first record in 1997, calling it Mujeres Liberadas, followed by 1998’s Con Los Pies Sobre La Tierra, produced by Eduardo Reyes. Soon after, she was climbing Puerto Rican charts with “Me Voy De Fiesta” and debuting as a composer with a song called “Te Amo.” After issuing Baño de Luna, the singer was awarded for Best Female Merengue Record by Premios Tu Musica 2000.
