Patina Restaurant Group is adding a new food and beverage location to the World Showcase between Italy and the American Adventure pavilions at EPCOT.
The walls have been up for a couple of weeks now, and we now have a permit allocated to the area (thanks to @danlb_2000 on the WDWMAGIC forums). The description doesn’t offer much information beyond “Install new food vending building.”
The contractor is Icarus Exhibits, and the permit has an expiration date of the end of 2021. Disney or Patina is yet to formally announced the project, but from its name of “La Gelateria,’ we should be expecting a healthy dose of frozen Italian desserts. Patina operated all of the eateries within the Italy Pavilion, along with the upcoming Space 2020.
