The Wall Street Journal is reporting that the U.S. is aiming to open travel between the United States and United Kingdom with shortened quarantine periods before the end of the year.
According to the report, passengers would be tested before their flight and on arrival, avoiding lengthy quarantines at their destinations. What would make this possible is the increasing availability of rapid COVID-19 tests and a desire for both countries to bring back vacation and business routes, a critical part of the economy. The initial route would be London to New York City.
This would obviously be a significant development for Walt Disney World, which would see a return of heavy spending visitors from the United Kingdom.
