Tropical Storm Hermine will bring rain to Canary Islands

Tropical Storm Hermine formed on Sept. 23 near the coast of Africa.


What You Need To Know

  • Tropical Storm Hermine formed on Sept. 23
  • It’ll continue to move up the coast of Africa
  • It should weaken and dissipate on Sunday
  • There is no threat to the U.S. with this system

This will be a very short-lived storm, as it’s forecast to track up the coast of Africa through Saturday before dissipating on Sunday and moving out to sea.  

It’ll combine with a trough to bring 2-4 inches of rain to the Canary Islands.

The U.S. will not see any impacts from this storm.
