EPCOT’s Spice Road Table will close today (December 10 2020) as it transitions from third party to Disney operated.
The table service restaurant in the Morocco Pavilion will soon be under the control of Disney as the current operating participant withdraws from the park. Plans are to reopen on December 13 2020 with an updated menu. Small plate options will remain, including Hummus Fries, Triopitakia and Fried Calamari. Spice Road Table will be walk-up only.
Elsewhere at Morocco, the Kids to Fun Stop will move location from today, and the Souk-Al-Magreb store will reopen December 12.
Marrakesh Moroccan Restaurant LLC, which was the operator of the pavilion’s dining and merchandise locations, has struggled during the COVID-19 shutdown and subsequent phased reopening. In particular, the Tangierine Cafe closed shortly after its reopening.
Many of the EPCOT pavilion restaurants and stores are operated by third party participants, including those found at China, Mexico, Japan, France and Italy.
