Tropical Storm Odette forms off the East Coast Friday afternoon becoming the 15th named system of the season.
Odette has maximum sustained winds of 40 mph and is quickly moving northeast.
A gradual intensification will happen over the next couple of days, but the storm is forecast to become post-tropical over the weekend as it loses tropical characteristics.
The storm will continue moving northeast away from the East Coast of the United States. We’re not expecting any direct impacts to the U.S.
We are also monitoring two tropical disturbances in the eastern Atlantic that could develop over the coming days. Track the two tropical disturbances here.
